The Lancer Singers is devoted to treble & bass voices entering the choral program. Students in The Lancer Singer receive a foundation of sight-reading, music theory and terminology while also performing various musical genres throughout the school year.

The Chamber Ensemble is the most select of the choirs at Manchester and combines freshmen through senior men & women. This group studies and performs college level repertoire, works extensively on sight-reading and performs regularly for both the school and community.

The Chamber Ensemble has received superior ratings at both local & district festivals. The Chamber Ensemble is two time GRAND CHAMPIONS of the FAME National Concert Choir Division, also receiving Best Choral Tone and Best Repertoire.

Most Recently, They were named Grand Champion of the Heart of America Concert Choir Division in NYC, also receiving Best Choral Tone and Best Repertoire.

Vocal Swing is open to treble voices in grades 9-12. This prep group will perform traditional/classical repertoire as well as collegiate a cappella music in the fall and competition show choir set in the spring. Students in Vocal Swing continue to receive a strong music and choral education by learning to produce a genuine choral sound, singing with proper breath management, performing challenging SSA literature, and building confidence singing both alone and within the group.

The advanced treble show choir at Manchester High School consisting of sophomore, junior and senior women are top academic achievers, scholastic and athletic team members, community leaders and lovers of music. Touch of Swing is proud to host the female division of the Koste Classic each year in March, and competes on both a local, regional and national level.

The Manchester High School community is proud to present Capital Swing, the first show choir in the greater Richmond area. Members are academically focused, successful athletes and leaders in the school and community. Capital Swing and the Manchester Choral Boosters are the founders of the Koste Classic celebrating its 35th year in 2024!
